Just another day
For the last two day we havent had electricity all day long.. so what do I do when all my work depends on the electricity? Well, nothing, I just relax and wait till the power is back on.. The big problem is in La Dalia, where I live, there are not too many things to do, and the hot weather we got in summer doesnt help much either.
So today, I took advantage of my day off and cleaned my room, and did some other chores. I had time to sit with my family and talk about random things, from politics to psicology, including food, relationships, religion and so on. The most funny part was when I was reminded of how rebeld I used to be when I was a kid... Uhmm maybe rebeld is too short in meaning; I was a really little monster: Once I tried to kill my own brother with a knife just because I couldnt stand his ideas and another time I tried to cut down the head of guy who was making fun of my sexuality. I must be some kind of dangerous things to be let wandering around. Anyways, Im glad I changed for good, or I might be living at the jail right now.
As the day went by, I had almost nothing to do so I try to capture random things with my camera with no luck, but at least I was lucky enough to see the dusk from the roof of my house (something I didnt do since I was a child).
Night turned to be better as I was invited for dinner at Lauren's house (She is a Peace Corp volunteer, here in my town) It was seeing some old pals and meeting new ones. Dinner was really good by the way, and the drinks even better. As I enjoyed a frost, for some reason I thought about my trip to Corn Island last year.
So here is the end of my day, not as productive as I wish it could have been in terms of work, but very productive in terms of strengthening the relationship with my family and friends.
And here is one of the pictures I took today of my dog Beethoven while trying to find something to do.
